Powered by women artisans. These exquisite pieces of art are made by indigenuos women comunities in the paramo of the Andes mountains from South America, 4000 meters above sea level.

Our placemats are made of paramo straw (straw that is obtained from the highest of the mountains), 100% natural fiber.

As you can see in our pictures, the artisans use a thick needle and cabuya fibers to wrap the paramo straw:

Furcraea cabuya is a species of plant in the family Asparagaceae that is native to South America.

The fibres in its leaves are used in to create beautiful home decoration pieces for our customers.
